When luxury Italian lighting company Rotaliana launched the MultiPot in 2005, we couldn’t believe nobody had thought of it before: a sleek Perspex pot that doubled-up as an ambient light and tripled up as a miracle-charging device.
Finally, in the MultiPot, we had a centralised charging multi-haven for all our pocket gadgetry, previously scattered around various surfaces, waiting for their turn on the adaptor. The transparent version, our personal favourite, even turned unsightly leads into something of an art form.
Fast-forward two years and Rotaliana has gone one step further with their latest innovation, the MultiBook.
Based on a similar theme to its younger sister, the MutliBook is a hinged, book-shaped box with a 3-way multisocket inside. The spine of the book has an LED digital clock and calendar, whilst the remaining three sides provide a gentle, diffused light. At the front, a square backlit panel turns into a cardholder, so everyone knows which one is yours.
Above and beyond the handiness of keeping all our gadgets in one sleek place, the MultiBook might actually mean an end to that universal, battery-powered woe: running out of juice on the job.
